Why we breed.

I breed because I love the breed, I was horrified when I bought my first Siamese after a period of years to find they were crossed eyed, a pale watered down blue and had kinks in both tails. Not breed standard at all. I want to reserve and strengthen the breeds I love (which could have been hundreds of breeds but I am concentrating on Burmese, Siamese (If I can find the right girl again) and if at all possible Tonkinese (a breed formed from both Burmese and Siamese and seems to have the best traits of both).

All my cats are pets first and foremost but are here to do a job, after they have finished breeding (or if it turns out they are not suitable/don’t want to) if they are not happy in my house full of girls I will find them an amazing home where they can be the centre of attention and have a loving lap all of their own. Because of this I occasionally have an older (never that old) girl, obviously I will know this girl extremely well and will only let her go to a 100% suitable home.

Without dedicated ethical breeders sadly the breed would die out or be compromised by poor health and crossbreeding, I aim to do my bit to ensure this does not happen. It also helps that I get to play with extremely cute kittens!
